Dairy Recipe Contest

Get out your recipes containing dairy products and enter the National MooFest Dairy Recipe Contest! There are two divisions, general and teen, and the rules are the same for both.

There are six categories with one entry per person per category:

• A Appetizers and Salads
• B Beverages
• C Breads
• D Main Dish
• E Vegetables
• F Desserts

There will be a winner in each category and a Grand Prize winner in each division. National MooFest Committee members and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

General Division:
     Grand Prize: $100.00 plus a Mayfield Gift Basket
     Category Winners: $ 50.00 plus a Mayfield Gift Basket

Teen Division:
     Grand Prize: iPod
     Category Winners: $25.00

Buttermilk Recipes! National MooFest would especially like to have recipes using buttermilk. Mayfield Dairy Farms is the nation’s leading buttermilk producer and we would like to have recipes using buttermilk to post on the Mayfield Dairy Farms website, as well as being included in the National MooFest Dairy Recipe Book.

All recipes must contain at least one dairy product. Recipes must be typed, using standard measurements with no abbreviations. Make sure directions are clear and concise.

All entries must be received by 4:00 p.m., May 10, 2011.

Notification of entries chosen for sampling will be made the following week and judging will take place on May 21st at 2:00 p.m. at Allen Memorial United Methodist Church.

Winners will be announced from the Legacy Stage at National MooFest at 12:00 on Saturday, June 4th.
